The Senate will soon vote on a resolution, pushed by Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Senate Democrats, to strike down a Trump administration rule that expands states’ access to Section 1332 waivers. These waivers allow states to avoid some of Obamacare’s burdensome regulations. Supporters of the resolution claim that it is necessary in order to preserve protections for preexisting conditions. However, Section 1332 waivers do not allow states to waive this requirement. In reality, Section 1332 waivers have proven to be the only effective method of reversing the rapid increase in Obamacare premiums. Click here to read more.
